While on a road trip through California, we were mesmerized by the majestic scenery of the redwood forest. So we decided to stay in the area overnight. Looking online, I found the Miranda Garden's Resort, read the reviews, and then we knew we had to stay here. After we checked in, we drove through an area with flowers and greenery surrounding our vehicle. And with a smooth brick road. When we arrived at our cabin we were amazed. It was very spacious. It had two stories with one bedroom on each floor, a full-size kitchen, a living room with an electric fireplace and flat screen TV. The vintage decor contributed to the ambience. In the morning I enjoyed a cup of coffee, while sitting on the deck looking at the scenery.

Super well-located place just past the southern entrance to the Avenue of the Giants. My cottage (4A) was an adorable 1-BR apartment home that was neat and clean. Full kitchen and bath made for a comfortable and useful place to stay. While family camped up the Avenue in the park, I was comfortable and dry in my cottage home. (It rained during my stay.) I didn't use the pool, but it looked lovely. Loved the organic coffee, gas station, and friendly grocery store directly across the street. Forgot they were all there when I sat out on my back balcony facing the trees! A 95 year-old family member stayed in cottage #14. A smaller version of #4A that was more like a cute studio. Both our cottages had large electric fire place-heaters. I tested mine the second night; worked great. One last thing, the lady who checked me in was friendly as can be. I believe her name was Sue. The lobby-reception has lots of keepsakes for purchase as well as info about local things to see and do. I made sure to pick up a coffee mug at check out complete with contact info. I know I'll use it for another stay! A charming place!

This is such a quaint little place in one of the most beautiful places on this planet. It is located along the Avenue of the Giants so there are Redwood trees everywhere. There is a private driveway to each cottage. We stayed in cottage 1. It was very well maintained and the electric fireplace was a nice feature. There are some really great restaurants right across the street.

What a find! After a long day driving and walking through the wonderful redwood trees we came across Miranda's. Perfect place to stay. Definitely will plan to stay here for extended time next trip. Great service! Clean and nestled right in the redwoods. Nice restaurant across the road, Redwood palace I think was the name. Little drive thru coffee shop right across street from resort. Best place we've stayed so far this trip!

This was our second year staying here. Last year we stayed in cottage 7, this year we spent a couple of days in 7 again, then moved to the larger cottage 8 when it became available. The cottages are from the 1920s and the woodwork is lovely. There are antiques all over and I enjoyed looking at them. The office staff is all very friendly and helpful, even when I spent a little time talking their ears off.....lol. It's a very peaceful place in the redwoods and the cottages are kept very clean. Yes, they need to do some minor repairs in both cottages, and IMHO, could use some a/c for the times in the summer when it gets hot, and it does get hot sometimes. But, due to shade from the trees, if you open all the windows at night, use the fans they provide, then close everything up in the morning, it will stay fairly cool, except for on the very hottest days that hit the mid-90s into the low 100s. One day when it was forecast to hit 104, we decided it would be a good day to visit the coast where it's nice and cool, and less than an hour's drive away. They provide some kitchen items but need to replace the no-longer-non-stick-pans. Some more lights around would also help with the darkness of the rooms. We enjoyed the campfire and appreciated the roasting sticks as we forgot ours. The pool was nice to sit at with our feet in the water but was a little chilly for us for swimming. They all work hard to keep this place nice for guests and do a really good job. As with any rentals, there is constant upkeep, and for the most part, they do a great job keeping up. It's a great place for some R&R, peaceful, lovely, in the middle of the Avenue of the Giants, and well worth the price.

There's no better place to rest in the heart of the old-growth redwood forest than Miranda Gardens. They've recently renovated the entire resort creating a magical space for weary travelers whom seek shelter along the Avenue of the Giants. We felt like we stepped back into the 1920s when this resort was first established. The trees are sentinel-tall. And numerous. Close to Humboldt Redwoods State Park. Founders Grove. Eel River. Staff is helpful. Miranda Gardens Resort is the crown jewel of places to stay in the Humboldt County.

We had an excellent time at the Miranda Resorts. The resort is located in the heart of Avenue of the Giants. The resort has its own set of giant trees which surround the cabins. We stayed in cabin 2 which was decorated with an old historic feel. The room was amazingly clean with comfortable bedding and mattress. We ate dinner across the street. There is also a nicely stocked market just a couple of minutes walk from the resort. I would certainly recommend staying.

Stayed here at cottage #9 two days two nights. Checked in with Eve and she was very nice and professional. The grounds are beautiful right off Avenue of the Giants traffic noise is obsolete we didn't hear a single car our whole stay. The pool is refreshing and towels are provided there is also a playground, ping pong ball, horseshoe, and basketball court. Our specific cottage was small but the patio was amazing and a great hang out spot for most of our stay. It is a cottage so the vibe is very homey cabin in the woods and that's what we were looking for. As far as location it's in the Redwood forest no fast food or big chain grocery stores but they have two restaurants, ice cream place and a small gas station/convince store across the street.

We stayed here last summer on our way to Portland. We loved it! We stayed in cabin 7. The pool was awesome, the setting was nice and serene and our cabin was so cute and comfortable. Family of four and two dogs. We highly recommend staying here as opposed to anywhere else in the area. Local restaurants and stores were great. We are returning this summer. Can't wait!
